Overview

What is an Exercise Physiologist?

Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are allied health professionals with expertise in exercise and movement, rehabilitation, and high performance. They use exercise as a primary mode of therapy to help manage and improve pain, functional impairment, acute and chronic disease, disability, and performance.

    A deep dive into your story, needs and goals; comprehensive assessment, specific to you; targeted planning with clear objectives, based on your assessment; guidance and education surrounding your needs and goals; communication with your trusted referrers and specialists.

    Tailored plan

    You will receive a clear and targeted plan that we will consolidate together; specific exercises that you will be taught, with guidelines in a hard or soft copy (via an app). We will construct healthy habits and discuss meaningful change in an open discussion, all with you in mind.

    Ongoing review

    We will touch base in regular or irregular intervals, dependant on our initial plan. In these reviews we will re-assess and progress/adapt our plan depending on your feedback and adaptation. When you inevitably reach and surpass your goals, we will design a plan to help you maintain autonomy!

What to bring
Comfortable activewear, closed toe shoes, water bottle and any relevant scans, plans or referrals. Avoid dresses and skirts as you may need to lie down and move amongst other people using the space.

No referral is required for private sessions. Medicare, DVA, TAC and NDIS pathways may need a referral or plan from your GP and/or coordinator.

Most extras policies cover exercise physiology. We can process HICAPS claims on the spot where available. Please enquire with your insurer to see what rebate you may be eligible for under item codes 102, 202 and 302.

It depends on your goals and condition. In our initial consultation we will collaborate in setting a specific plan, inclusive of estimated timelines. Most patients/clients will review fortnightly, and taper as autonomy and progression is noted; this is case dependant.
